Wouldn’t it be cool to be able to draw
your favorite
cartoon? Drawing cartoons is even more fun than watching them! Using
simple
shapes and artist’s tricks you'll learn to draw your favorite
characters from
cartoons and comics. It's easier than you think. Professional comic
book artist
James Fry shows you how. >
This 1 hour course is designed for ages 7-12 and limited to 20 students. The
fee is

INTRO TO COMIC ART
Want to
draw
comics? Then
this course is for you. Designed for the beginner, the course covers
the
basics of creating comic art as practiced by working professionals.
Figures
in motion, page and panel construction and techniques of visual
storytelling
are among the elements that will be addressed. Each student should
bring
examples of his or her artwork for critique.
This 2 hour course is designed for
ages 13 - Adult with a limit of 20 students per session.
The
fee is

artist
James Fry has
been a freelance
cartoonist and illustrator for seventeen years. His work has appeared
in
numerous titles, including Spider-Man, X-Factor and Mutant X for Marvel
Comics, Star Trek, Doom Patrol and Birds of Prey for DC Comics, Sonic
the
Hedgehog for Archie Comics and Stone Cold Steve Austin for Chaos
Comics.
He has designed characters and co-created original properties for
various
comics publishers and illustrated young adult novels for Doubleday
Books.
He has also drawn for Disney, Columbia Records and the Children's
Television
Workshop..
