Your game kit

It’s helpful to have a large tote bag with all your game supplies and directions for your favorites.

Essentials:

A whistle

2 jump ropes (ideal for start and finish lines)

Sponge balls

Balloons and a pump

Hula-hoops

CD or tape player.

Most of the games can be played with just these props. Some games require special prep such as the creation of cards or nametags. If you laminate your game cards they will last longer and you can play them again and again. Some games require chairs, most of the time you can use mats that you cut out of upholstery vinyl instead.  Upholstery vinyl is available in most fabric stores, is inexpensive and comes in a variety of colors.

Theme it!

Do you portray a character or does you company have a mascot? For example let’s say that you are ‘Ladybug Entertainment’. Think about all the different ways that you can theme the games to feature ladybugs. Perhaps your balls and balloons can all be red with black dots. If you are making mats out of upholstery vinyl, use red and cut them into circle or bug shapes. Playing a game with name tags or cards? They can be red and bug shaped too!  Playing a game where the players have to dance? Think about having them do the ‘ladybug dance’!

Also consider if the party is having a theme. Luau? Think hula-hoops.  Or ‘Cocoanut Catch’ with brown water balloons. Limbo anyone?

On to the games!
